System Reliability & Scale

Sirva utilizes Microsoft Azure to maintain its network and ensure our ability to remain secure, reliable and available. We continually monitor resources and receives alerts when services require investigation. While Sirva has an agreement with Microsoft to maintain a specific uptime, we also track the uptime of various areas to maintain a 99.95% uptime for our clients.

In terms of application scalability, we address this area as part of our overall reliability, recoverability and fault tolerance. The application stack is built on state of the art technology to operate and live in Azure cloud with the expectation for potential growth over time. The cloud services in use all have the ability to scale horizontally or vertically.

Typically, we will have metrics defined for horizontal scaling that will be undertaken in Azure once a threshold is met. If vertical scaling is required in order to meet higher demand, we will schedule this. Vertical scaling is undertaken when we see a sustained period of horizontal scaling and is typically scheduled in a maintenance window agreed upon with our clients.
